Guli explores the theme of girls’ education and female empowerment in Balochistan. It is a film about a woman living in the slums of Lyari with her drug addicted husband who has become a burden on her. This film is about a woman who fights for herself without expecting anything in return. She fights the norms of the society which dictate that women cannot survive without men. Guli works hard to provide a better future for her daughter and becomes her own Knight in a shining armor.
