HR Film Festival “Reels for Rights”

By Sarah Jehaan Khan Passoon revolves around a female protagonist Manal Shad – a young climate activist in Dir, Pakistan. The film seeks to amplify the voices of young climate activists in developing countries such as Pakistan. The film shows the effect of Global Warming and how issues such as flooding occur due to lack of tree plantation. In the midst of all this chaos we see children discussing these issues among themselves and finding solutions to implement them effectively. Sarah is a Student at Manfield College Oxford University with a keen interest in filmmaking and activism. Her film Passoon (پاسون) won the first prize at Girls Impact the World Film Festival. Passoon means, rising for a good cause.
